The One with Santa Booty

Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum! That's the saying right?
To say that I'm excited about Christmas is clearly an understatement. I love Christmas! I love Christmas, and I don't care who knows it!
The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is my favorite month of the year. I listen to Christmas music all day while taking Christmas photos, editing Christmas photos, watching Elf, Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, and dancing around like a reindeer. If you can't get with my holiday spirit, you may want to unfollow me on all social media. This year, I am sharing past Christmas family session, and I am very excited about it! This shoot from 2014 is probably one of my favorite Christmas shoots that I have ever had the privilege of shooting.
Merry 2014 Christmas and a happy 2015 New Year!

The One with Sipping and Shopping

I am a gift giver. It is my main love language, and it truly gives me so much joy to find the perfect gift to give to someone, which is why Christmas is naturally my favorite holiday! I'm not a big fan of wish lists though. I would rather find the perfect gift for someone on my own because I feel like that is what the meaning behind a gift is.  It really is the thought that counts.
This is why I absolutely adored shooting at Vend Raleigh's Annual Sip and Shop this year.  There were so many vendors with so many different and unique gifts! I wanted to buy something at every single boutique, and if I had lots of money, I definitely would have.  I will definitely be in attendance again next year whether I am shooting or not because sipping and shopping for Christmas gifts are two of my favorite things!
You can find the entire list of wonderful vendors here

The One with the Parkers

PSA:
Christmas is coming! Which means Christmas cards are coming! Which means you need to schedule your session now, so that you can get your photos back in time, so that you can send your cards out in time, before they become Valentine's Day cards!

And as a reminder of how fun family shoots can be, here are some shots from a throwback shoot from 2013 that was absolutely unforgettably fun!
Happy Throwback Thursday!
Don't forget to take family photos this year!
Okay I'm done harassing you about procrastinating your holiday cards. Enjoy!

The One with the Many Mountains

This past weekend, I was able to hang with my oldest friends down in South Carolina. There is something about being around people who have known you for so long and know everything that you have been through. It's a freeing feeling not having to explain why you think something or what you really mean by something or knowing that no matter what you do, say, how often you quote Harry Potter, or how you tell them to pose for photos, the people around aren't going to judge you. Not only have we had some fun mountain visits together, but we have also been through many metaphorical mountains and valleys together.  I don't know if it's the fact that we have known each other since we were slightly more awkward middle schoolers or if it's the mountains we have been through together that have kept our friendships so strong. But I do know that if I ever need them, they will be there, and they won't judge me if the reason that I call is because I can't decide between the Harry Potter onesie or the Leia one with the hair.
So here are some shots that my friends have willingly allowed me to take with constant support of my photography.
Excuse me now, while I order both onesies from Target, because adulting is hard.
